CLASS MESSAGES

November 7, 2005
Warm greetings to all fellow MI’ers.

I am excited about this project. A listing of the graduates, and possibly their present “coordinates”, will let us reconnect with friends and those who have crossed our way during our younger years. If Edgar Gonzales and Rolly Malinis (both Class ’65) can take it to another level, then it is even a noble venture.

M.I. – it will always be that to me – holds a special place in my storehouse of memories. Myself and practically all of my sisters and brothers are graduates of that institution. It also provided me with my first work experience, which, though short, was very memorable.

I want to encourage everyone to participate in this project, in his or her own way, no matter how small it is. We can start with the social aspect of it and have fun along the way. Let us see how it will evolve from there.

From: Dorina Guevarra Pineda

Hi, fellow alumni ! I know most of you but most of you don't know me (or have chosen to forget me). I was a '59 graduate and I had been a teacher at the Meycauayan Institute from 1964 up to 1975. When M.I. became M.C. or Meycauayan College, I taught there, too, with Echie Roberto, Arthur Valencia, and others.

I would like to tell you that M.I. had been a second home to me, both as a student and as a teacher. I had spent the best years of my life in this institution. It helped me a lot in becoming what I am today. (What am I today? A wife, a mother, a grandmother, but forever a teacher). I'm too proud to say that I had made the right decision when I took up education as my profession. Like what we always say, we are proud and happy to be a part of your high school life.

I have been receiving and reading all the messages in my inbox folder. I haven't deleted them yet. As of now, I have 812 messages in all, all from MI/MC Alumni. I'll see what I can do to have more alumni in our website.

Regards to all of you, whoever or wherever you are.
