On February 7, 2009, I traveled to the Philippines to visit my relatives and to conduct The Mathematics and Science Enhancement Seminar at Meycauayan College. The two-day seminar covered Algebra, Trigonometry and Physics on the first day, and Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, and Theory of Relativity on the second. Two batches of students attended.
It has been 51 years since I last saw the school, then named Meycauayan Institute, since my graduation in 1958. I was very impressed by the school’s progress. In particular, the strength of its Mathematics program was evident when students from the Science Class participated in my lecture on the second day. These students were bright and considered to be the cream of the crop. In my high school days, no such program was available.
Overall, I would say that the seminar was a success, and a feeling of achievement was shared by everyone involved. The seminar would not have been possible where if not for the effort of Mrs. Rosario B. Guzman, Alumnews Coordinator, and the approval of Mr. Renato Ocampo, the CEO and President of the school. I am grateful to them and to the students for the wonderful experience.

MC Batch 1996 Reunion
MC HIGH SCHOOL BATCH 1996 will be having their first Batch 1996 Grand Reunion Meeting this 2009 on February 8, 2009 at Meycauayan College Main Building at Mc Arthur Highway, Calvario, Meycauayan City at 3PM.
The purpose of this meeting is to elect officers for various committees for their forthcoming High School Reunion which will be held on December 20, 2009 (tentative date). This would be a voluntary group of individuals who seek to preserve the strengths and camaraderie of our friendships, build a sense of community, and address any problems or issues that may arise. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate.
Please join on February 8, 2009 to meet your batchmates, hear about the reunion plan, and determine where we would like to go from here.

GRAND REUNION FOR MC CLASSES 91 AND 94
Both MC Classes 1991 and 1994 are planning to have a grand reunion. Class 1994 are starting to build up their contact databases in where they get all the contact #s, email, address, cell phone/telephone numbers. Email yours to derek_quizon@yahoo.com.
Class 1991 are also planning a grand reunion. They plan to have their second meeting come March 22, 2008 at Avon Building McArthur Highway near Goldilocks at aroun 2pm.
